Dick lives in
Leakey, Texas with his wife, Letha Dulaney, a professional
educator. He holds a B.A. from California
Baptist University
and a Master of Music from the University
of Redlands.
Post graduate studies were at Claremont
Graduate University.
Dick is a member of Wedgwood,
a folk-gospel group based in California and has performed
concerts in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and throughout
the United States. He is a member of the country music band
of Geronimo
Trevino III
and with them has opened for Willie
Nelson, Merle Haggard, Asleep at the Wheel
and Ray Price
as well as performing in major country music venues in
Texas. He also performs with Roy
West,
Christian Country Music artist based in Pleasanton, Texas.
Dick recently performed with Sentimental
Journey, a
swing era big band and the Fredericksburg
Theater Company.
He is a former member of professional symphony orchestras in
California and continues his activities in classical music
with violinist Cathy
Learoyd in the
violin duo SpiritSand, soon to release their first
recording. He has recorded for Summer
Church, Wedgwood Productions,
and his own label
Dick
Walker Music.
Dick is a member of the
Violin Society of America and Pi Kappa Lambda.
Dick's teaches
at his studio provided by the First
United Methodist Church
in Kerrville and his home in Leakey, Texas |
